The Boone Society is an organization of descendants, genealogist and historians sharing a common interest of preserving our American pioneer history and especially the lives and experiences of this remarkable family. Daniel Boone, the greatest of the pioneers, was instrumental in forging the westward movement across this new nation.

The adventures of this family begin in Bradwich near Exeter, England as his grandfather George Boone immigrated to America in 1717. The three oldest children came first with George, Mary and the rest of the children following later. One of those children was Squire Boone, the father of Daniel. The Boone’s settled into Buck’s county, Pennsylvania near the township of Exeter.

Squire Boone and his wife, Sara Morgan had seven sons and four daughters. James, Samuel, Jonathan, Daniel, George, Squire, Edward Sara, Elizabeth, Mary and Hanna. Daniel was born on the 11th of February 1735 and around his age of eighteen, he moved with his family to land near Holman’s Ford on the Yadkin river, about eight miles from Wilkesboro, North Carolina. In North Carolina Daniel spent his youthful days and formed the bold spirit that encountered the perils of his adult life.

The Boone family is but one of the families that braved the settling of this new land, but they led the way through the struggles and sacrifices required. It is important that we know this family, in order to appreciate them. Each of us, who were born here or immigrated here as the Boones did, share the pride of their determination and commitment to seek a land of freedom and opportunity.

We hope you will share the Boone legend and study the history of their pioneer movement. We feel it is important to pass this history down through the generations, so others can learn how, we as a nation were formed and the sacrifices spent in doing so. Please feel free to roam the website for more information and if you are not a member of the Boone Society, we invite you to join in as family or friend.

Membership to the Boone Society is open to descendants of the Boone lines, friends of the Boone families and the general public. I heartily recommend your participation in The Boone Society! Again, please enjoy all of our web site features and links.

With Best regards,
